Ona Valls tancada pels convergents

El passsat dia 23 d'abril ONA VALLS va deixar d'emetre al 107.6 de la FM. Va ser un tancament sobtat de l'emissora i sense previ avís. Els col·laboradors habituals (uns 30) vam rebre una trucada des de l'Ajuntament de Valls. Els motius eren els que tothom es pot imaginar: tots relacionats amb la crisi econòmica. Ben lluny de la realitat. Els convergents (CyU) ja fa temps que van darrere el tancament d'Ona Valls. Era una d'aquelles coses que han de fer i no se sap ben bé per què. Durant l'anterior legislatura (pactada amb PSC) ho debien intentar. Ara amb majoria absoluta no han tingut miraments. Una ràdio municipal és un servei públic, i tot el que fa olor a servei públic, els convergents ho detesten i s'ho han de carregar.

A l'emissora municipal Ona Valls hi treballaven 2 redactors, i uns 30 col·laboradors. La programació no era la de Catalunya Ràdio o Ruc 1, però l'esforç era segurament el mateix. Es feien programes de notícies, de castells, d'esports, de música, magazines, etc. Es podien escoltar els plens municipals (ara hi ha censura), retransmissions esportives, de castells, els alumnes de les escoles públiques feien tallers de ràdio... I diferents programes, alguns tan antics com Queens of Metal (des de l'inici de l'emissora el 1998). Jo vaig començar amb altres programes i vaig iniciar Europa cap al 2005.

Ara ha arribat el moment de tancar, però no ho faré com volen els convergents. Aviat estarà disponible per escoltar online l'últim programa d'Europa, gràcies a la ràdio que també ens ha allotjat durant aquests últims anys, Radio Umbria.

Des d'aquest escrit només em queda rebutjar les decisions del convergents vallencs, demanant que tornin a obrir l'emissora municipal Ona Valls FM. No tenen motius econòmics per tancar, quan qualsevol dels seus càrrecs de confiança cobra més que tot el pressupost de l'emissora. Si els vallencs volen acabar sense serveis públics (guarderies, escoles, serveis sanitaris, música, ràdio, etc., etc.) ho tenen fàcil, seguiu votant als convergents. Els altres, els altres només cal mirar el grup polític que ha donat suport a la Plataforma Salvem Ona Valls.

Ha estat bé poder realitzar aquest programa, amb més o menys regularitat. Espero que hagueu descobert algun grup interessant. Les migdiades amb música electro-industrial a Valls s'han acabat.

Yes, we are thinking of launching a a free magazine for unsigned artists to help them become a little more popular, although we know this webpage is not very popular. What is for sure is that labels have magazines, and magazines have labels. Unsigned artists haven't got money to pay for an interview or album reviews.
